Lexmoto have a few electric models in their range. The E-Lex is one of their (L1e) category bikes that can be ridden on a CBT or Pre-2001 Driving License and is also known as the Yadea YD1200D.

Whats remarkable about this bike is that it comes with 2 lithium-ion batteries for a very cost-effective price while still benefiting from the OZEZ Grant. In our view this is the most cost effective bike which achieves a real-life range of over 50 miles. (See our ride review below).

Powered by electric hub motor with a maximum of 1,5kw (2hp), the bike features two easily removable 60v 24ah lithium-ion batteries. These can be charged in the home or office from flat in 5 to 6 hours or alternatively on the bike through the port. The setup of this bike is that only battery is used at a time and then a fuse switch is used to swap the connection to the second battery. There is a small amount of space under the seat for a charger, lock etc but not enough for a helmet.

It runs on 12" wheels with ventilated discs at the front and a drum brake at the rear with 90/80 tubeless tyres. Its also entremely light at 75KG and a has a maximum load of 160KG and is 1.74m long.

It has LED lights and comes with an alarm and usb charging port and a small storage space for a mobile phone etc.

It is on the UK OZEZ Grant meaning it comes with a 2 year warranty on the bike and 3 years on the battery.

The current colour choice is black
